NEW YEARS achiEVE w/ Artie Lange & Guests to benefit The Capital District Recovery Center

On New Years Eve put down the drink (so you’ll have both hands free to clap) and help us celebrate recovery achievement at the “NEW YEARS achiEVE” comedy show at The Egg!
The evening of laughter includes all-time great comedian Artie Lange who has found sobriety after several decades of highly publicized addiction battles along with two other hilarious comedians who have also found and maintain sobriety.
A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit The Capital District Recovery Center – a local 501C3 non-profit corporation that is 100% privately funded and 100% staffed by volunteers (from the Board of Directors to the people who staff the facility). CDRC currently provides space for 230 meetings every month! Find more details at: http://capitaldistrictrecoverycenter.org
Keeping with the theme of a hilarious and substance free evening, The Egg will not be offering alcoholic beverages through the concession area.

      TICKETS:
      VIP $100 until 12/25, $125 after 12/25
      Reserved $50 until 12/25, $75 after 12/25

      NOTE:
All VIP ticket holders will received an autographed copy of one of Artie Lange’s books.

      ABOUT ARTIE LANGE:
For over 30 years Artie Lange has been making people laugh as a stand-up comic, television and film actor, best selling author and radio host.
Artie began his career in the comedy clubs of New York City, where he helped to create the popular sketch comedy group Live on Tape, after writing and performing with other troupes, including Midnight Madness and The Improvables. Artie’s breakout work with Live On Tape landed him his debut television role as one of the original series regulars on FOX’s Mad TV. Following Mad TV, Artie became a regular on Norm McDonald’s The Norm Show.
In 2001 Artie returned to his home state of New Jersey where he became a beloved regular on The Howard Stern Show for many years. During that time Artie also was featured in the films Old School, Elf and starred in Artie Lange’s Beer League. His first memoir, Too Fat To Fish was also written during this time and became a New York Times bestseller.
After his departure from The Howard Stern Show, Artie continued in radio both with The Artie Lange Show and later on The Anthony Cumia Show all the while continuing to tour as a stand-up comedian.
In 2015 Artie returned to television with guest appearances on The Jim Gaffigan Show followed by the HBO comedy series Crashing.

ABOUT THE CAPITAL DISTRICT RECOVERY CENTER:
Capital District Recovery Center (CDRC) was founded in 2015 as a not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) corporation with an all volunteer board and staff dedicated to helping improve the lives of people in recovery. CDRC provides a safe, affordable, substance free meeting space for 12 step and other recovery oriented groups, individuals and their families whose lives have been adversely affected by addiction.
CDRC rents meeting space to Twelve-step programs (i.e. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, etc.). We have no affiliation with any of these organizations other than to provide a safe place to meet. CDRC offers space for a diversity of affiliated programs oriented toward personal development, mindfulness, spiritual growth and recovery from addiction. CDRC is open to all individuals regardless of age, race, spiritual/religious affiliation, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status. CDRC was formed and is managed by a group of volunteers who care deeply about the recovery community. An elected Board of Directors oversees the organization and makes independent decisions about finances, fundraising, administration, and other matters.
